We are looking for a full time energetic and industrious trainer to join our growing team of expert first aiders. If you like to travel all over the Cape, meet plenty of people and see events close up, this might be the role for you! Willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment as part of our dynamic team will be key to success in this role. Part time will be considered.

Vocational education and experiential requirements:

• Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) essential
• Experience in public speaking or conducting group activities
• Sound computer skills
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal
• Previous first aid training experience advantageous
• Current open drivers' license

Trainer job role:

• Training and assessment in a range of nationally recognized and non-recognized first aid courses in accordance with ASQA requirements
• First aid provision at local events
• Company promotion at various events
• Assisting other departments with general tasks
• Cleaning and housekeeping of training facilities and equipment
• Training onsite or offsite, sometimes in remote areas or within Cairns regional area
• General tasks as required.

Your skills will be valuable to us! Outside of teaching, there will always be opportunities to apply your administrative, IT, marketing, technical or compliance skills! Marine industry workers with Equipment servicing knowledge are a bonus. If you have a Current First Aid certificate (HLTAID011) and would like to help out on events become an Event Medic with us. This is also an opportunity to gain experience toward becoming a Paramedic. Most of our event staff do get paid for the time on call. You can gain more knowledge or experience with us and complete the Advanced First Aid module (HLTAID014) or Pain Mangement Module.

We are looking for an energetic and industrious client services and retail assistant to join our growing friendly and dynamic team at the highest ranking first aid training facility in Cairns. If you are interested in gaining knowledge in the RTO administration sector, this position will be a great place to challenge yourself to grow your skills.

Hours Required: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm, holiday coverage & other agreed days as necessary. Ability to travel to other locations as agreed would advantageous.

Key duties will include:

• Respond to phone, email and in store enquiries, directing to the correct department where necessary
• Process individual, group and company course enrolments
• Maintain booking schedule
• Accurately maintain client data in both student and retail management systems.
• Point of sale operation
• Assisting the retail manager in restocking and sales
• Social media management & marketing
• Cleaning store and training facilities as part of the team
• General tasks as required
